Black-Tie Gala at the Washington National Cathedral
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Brilliant Night for RARE Hope, an inspiring black-tie gala supporting transformational progress in rare disease research, will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the iconic Washington National Cathedral. The evening will bring together 400 guests—including leaders in science, philanthropy, policy, and business—for an unforgettable night of celebration, innovation, and impact.
The gala benefits RARE Hope, a nationally recognized nonprofit founded by D.C. residents Nina and Simon Frost in 2017 after their daughter was diagnosed with a rare and devastating neurological disorder. Originally launched as Hope for Annabel, the organization has grown into a powerful force advancing scalable, patient-centered solutions for a spectrum of rare diseases. Rare diseases collectively represent one of the most urgent and overlooked challenges in medicine, affecting more than 30 million Americans—most of them children.
RARE Hope has catalyzed an expanding portfolio of therapeutics-focused initiatives, from preclinical proof-of-concept studies to AI-powered discovery tools and collaborative networks of top scientists. Its innovative model is gaining recognition as a blueprint for accelerating treatments across a growing number of under-researched neurological conditions.
The 2019 gala welcomed 400 guests and raised nearly $900,000, fueling a wave of scientific innovation. This year’s event marks a new inflection point: the expansion of RARE Hope’s mission to drive impact across an even broader range of rare diseases.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available here.
We invite the Washington community—and supporters across the country—to join us for this extraordinary evening.
